9. Unpack the box and check that you have all of the components listed (next page).

Install the supplied batteries and marker pens in the Pen2 styli and the eraser. You do
this as follows:
a.
Pens – follow the same procedures described at the beginning of this document
for set up the pens.
b.
Eraser-remove the top cover by pressing the sides close to the thin felt pad. Insert
one AAA battery and replace the top cover.

Load the operating software onto your PC. If your PC does not auto start the set-up
program after placing the
CD in your CD-ROM drive press Start/Run type D:\setup.exe
(enter)
in the Run dialogue box (where D:\ is the location of your CD-ROM drive). Then
follow the onscreen instructions.
It is recommended to download and install the latest
mimio software application from www.mimio.com/software.
12.
Attach the flipchart capture bar by first attaching the bracket/holder to the backing card
or last sheets of paper of the flip chart pad being used. The flipChart bar will sit in the
bracket.
13. Connect the flipChart bar to your PC using the supplied serial or USB cable.
NOTE: When using serial cable, you must connect the PS2 mouse pass through
connector as well as the serial connector- this draws power to the bar.
