When the device is left unused for a long period of time
•Turn off the power.
•Remove the fabric that has been set on the printer.
Keep the clamp lever move up.
Notes on cleaning
Never disassemble the printer. Disassembling the printer can result in
electric shock hazards and breakage of the printer.
Prevent moisture from entering inside the printer. If the inner part of the
printer becomes wet, electric shock hazards and breakage of the printer can
result.
Do not use benzine, thinner and chemical agents containing abrasives. Such
materials can deteriorate or deform the surface of the cover.
Do not apply lubricating oil or the like inside the printer. Such materials can
cause the printer mechanism to fail.
Cleaning ink at the bottom of the slider
When the printer have been used for a long period of time, glued ink may accumulate at the
bottom of the slider. Leaving this condition allows ink drops to grow and may cause contami-
nation of the fabric. Clean the bottom of the slider periodically to remove ink drops using the
supplied swab dampened with water.
In this case, be careful not to brush the head nozzle. (See page 4.23, STEP 5.)
Cleaning wiper
The wiper is stained by dirt and ink while you use it. If you clean the head when the wiper is
dirty, you may get the head dirty.
Clean the wiper periodically.
For the procedure for cleaning the wiper, refer to page 4.10.
