MENU mode
A list of setting items displayed on the LCD is called a menu.
A specific operation specified on the operation panel is displayed on the LCD in one of the
following three modes.
Each of the three modes is explained below.
<<LOCAL>> mode
This is the mode in which the preparations for printing operation are made.
When the power is switched on and the detection of a fabric is completed, the printer enters the
LOCAL mode. In this mode, it is possible to perform the following operations.(See page 1.26)
1. Pressing the appropriate [JOG] keys to detect a fabric and set up an origin.
2. Pressing the [TEST] key to start test printing.
3. Pressing the [CLEANING] key to clean the head.
4. Pressing the [DATA CLEAR] key to erase the printing data the printer has received.
5. Pressing the [FUNCTION] key to set printing conditions.
6. Pressing the [ENTER] key to display the guidance.
In the LOCAL mode, the printer cannot plot data received from the computer.
To put the printer into operation, change the mode to the REMOTE mode by
pressing the [REMOTE] key.
<< REMOTE >> mode
This is the mode in which the device plots an image from data it receives from the computer.
If the mode is in the LOCAL mode, press the [REMOTE] key to put the mode into the RE-
MOTE mode.
<<FUNCTION >> mode
This is the mode which printing conditions can be set.
To set printing conditions, press the [FUNCTION] key while the mode is in the LOCAL mode
and switch to the FUNCTION mode (printing function setting mode).
