Precautions in handling the ink cartridge
•Use Mimaki-recommended ink. Using third-party ink or ink cartridges may
cause a trouble.
The user shall be charged for a repair to correct any damage resulting from
these inks or ink cartridges even if under warranty period.
•
Never refill the ink cartridge with ink. This might cause a trouble. Mimaki assumes no
responsibility for any damage caused by using replenished ink cartridges.
• Do not touch or stain the contact of the cartridge PCB, as this may cause
failure of the PCB.
• The ink is not toxic. However, avoid direct contact with the ink. If ink contacts
the skin or fabric, immediately wash it off with detergent or water. In the event
that ink gets in eyes, immediately rinse it off with a plenty of running water
and consult a medical doctor.
• Be sure to store the ink cartridges in a cold and dark place. Do not store the
cartridge in too high/low temperature or high humidity condition. If the ink
cartridge is moved from a cold place to a warm place, leave it in the room
temperature for three hours or more before using.
• Open the ink cartridge just before installing it in the printer. If it is opened and left
for an extended period of time, normal printing performance may not be en-
sured.
• Make sure to thoroughly consume the ink in the ink cartridge, once it is opened,
within six months. If an extended period of time has passed after opening the
cartridge tank, printing quality would be poor.
• Dispose empty ink cartridges and waste ink in accordance with national and
local ordinances effective in your area.
•Do not use expired ink cartridges. The expiration date is printed on the ink
cartridge.
• Do not shake the ink cartridge violently. Shaking or turning it roughly can
cause leakage of ink.
