And where do your air hoses fail? At the crimp connection,
where you go from a flexible to a rigid connection. That is why
all HTP guns use a spring support system at both the handle
and the machine end of the welding gun:

HTP replacement welding guns are made to the highest
standards – after all, they are OEM on our welding
machines! We have taken the
design principles employed in HTP
welding guns and applied them to
all the guns we build for other
machines.
You really have to dig deep into the
gun to see the quality. Our crimp
connections all use a high tempera-
ture shrink tubing to prevent the
trigger wires from chafing against
the crimp connection.
The crimp connection - the key to a good transfer of the welding
current - uses all high quality copper crimps, while some
companies use steel, our fittings and lock nuts are solid brass.
Below is a cutaway of the coaxial welding cable assembly.
You can see the liner, which has a plastic coating to prevent the
shielding gas from running out the back of the gun, goes into the
inner tube. The shielding gas runs down the outside of the liner
and the inside of the inner tube. The copper wires, which carry the
welding current, and the trigger wires, which activate the machine,
are neatly wound around the inner tube. And the whole assembly
is encased in a heat resistant, flexible rubber outer sheath.
