HDD Security Configuration Sub-Menu
Aptio Setup Utility
Security
HDD Password Description:
Allows Access to Set, Modify and Clear Hard Disk
User and Master Password. User Password need to be
installed for Enabling Security. Master password can
be Modified only when successfully unlocked with
Master Password in POST.
If the ‘Set HDD Password’ option is grayed out, do
power cycle to enable the option again.
HDD PASSWORD CONFIGRATION:
Security Supported : Yes
Security Enabled : No
Security Locked : No
Security Frozen : No
HDD User Pwd Status : NOT INSTALLED
HDD Master Pwd Status : INSTALLED
Set User Password
Set Master Password
Set HDD User Password.
***Advisable to Power
Cycle System after setting
Hard Disk Passwords***.
Discard or Save changes
option in setup does not
have any impact on HDD
when password is set or
removed. If the’Set HDD
User Password’ option is
grayed out, do power cycle
to enable the option again.
