Breadboard area
Hexiwear Workstation board contains breadboard area as well as additional 1x52
female header, side by side. The header contains all the available Hexiwear pins, along
with the necessary 3.3V and 5V power supply outputs. This breadboard area is an ideal
solution for rapid prototyping: the components such as resistors, diodes, various ICs,
and other electrical components, can be directly plugged into the matrix of slots and
connected to Hexiwear pins with the wire jumpers. The breadboard itself consists of
a number of rows of female pins spaced 2.54 millimetres (0.1 inch) apart, with two
power rails (positive and GND) on the each edge of the board. This allows a single
pin to have more than one connection, allowing it to form an electrical circuit. The
breadboard schematic can be viewed on the Figure 30.
