module
The Hexiwear Workstation comes equipped with two audio
amplifi ers, capable of delivering up to 675mW of continuous
RMS power into two built-in 8-ohm speakers. These amplifi ers
are used to amplify the line level sound from the VS1053, a
stereo MP3 audio CODEC IC. Left and right audio signals from
the CODEC IC are routed to the ON/OFF DIP switch, labeled as
SW4. By setting SW4.6 and SW4.7 switches ON, the line level
audio signal is routed to the amplifi ers and thus, speakers. To
provide the digital input for the VS1053 IC, another OFF/ON DIP
switch (labeled as SW5) has to be used, in order to route all the
necessary digital lines that carry the audio information from
the docked Hexiwear. By setting switches from SW5.1 (G2.6) to
SW5.7 (G2.1) to ON position, the respective pins become routed
to VS1053 IC, allowing the sound data to reach the VS1053 IC
(Figure 23 and 24).
