APPENDIX A: MIGRATING FROM dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06/X08/X10 DEVICES TO
dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06A/X08A/X10A DEVICES
dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06A/X08A/X10A devices were
designed to enhance the dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06/X08/
X10 families of devices.
In general, the dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06A/X08A/X10A
devices are backward-compatible with
dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06/X08/X10 devices; however,
manufacturing differences may cause
dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06A/X08A/X10A devices to
behave differently from dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06/X08/
X10 devices. Therefore, complete system test and
characterization is recommended if
dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06A/X08A/X10A devices are used
to replace dsPIC33FJXXXGPX06/X08/X10 devices.
The following enhancements were introduced:
• Extended temperature support of up to +125ºC
• Enhanced Flash module with higher endurance
and retention
• New PLL Lock Enable configuration bit
• Added Timer5 trigger for ADC1 and Timer3 trigger
for ADC2
