MVC-88GE/GEW PLATE COMPACTOR — OPERATION
Starting the Engine
1. Place the engine
fuel valve lever (Figure 9) to the "ON"
position.
DO NOT attempt to operate the
equipment until the Safety, General
Information and Inspection sections of this
manual have been
read and
thoroughly understood
.
2. Move the
throttle lever (Figure 10) away from the slow
position, about 1/3 of the way toward the fast position.

3. Place the
choke lever (Figure 11) in the " CLOSED " position
if starting a
cold engine.
4. Place the
choke lever (Figure 12) in the " OPEN " position
if starting a
warm engine or the temperature is warm.

5. Place the
engine ON/OFF switch (Figure 13) in the " ON "
position.
