Removing and Replacing the Engine Oil
Tools and Supplies Needed
SAE 30 HD Oil
12mm Wrench
Suitable container for used oil
Rags
Note:
Drain the oil when the engine is warm. Warm oil drains quicker and
more
completely.
1.
Position a suitable oil receptacle under the engine oil Drain Plug
and remove the Engine Oil Check/Fill Cap (Figure 40a or 40b).
2.
Remove the Oil Drain Plug from the Engine Block with a 12mm
Wrench. Allow the used oil to drain completely, and then replace the
Oil Drain Plug.
3.
Replace the engine oil using SAE 30 HD oil (see “Adding Engine
Oil and Gasoline” in Chapter 2 for instructions on adding oil).
4.
Reattach the spark plug wire.
5.
Note:
Be sure to use environmentally safe procedures when disposing of the used oil.

Note: The WC475 Model has one Belt and the WC575E has two.
Tools Needed:
Tape Measure
5/16" Wrench
1/8" Allen Wrench
7/16" Wrench
1/2" Wrench
Two 9/16" Wrenches
Straightedge
REMOVING THE BELT
1.
Remove the two Self Tapping Screws using a 5/16" Wrench and remove
the
Inner Guard (Figure 41).
2.
Remove the Bolt, Washer and Locknut that attaches the lower portion
of the Guard to the Base using two 1/2" Wrenches (Figure 41).
3.
Remove the two Locknuts and Washers at the center area of the
Guard
using a 1/2" Wrench.
4.
Remove the Guard.
5.
Loosen the four Engine Bolts (two on the left side and two on the right
side) using two 9/16" Wrenches (Figure 42).
6.
Loosen the Adjusting Bolt on the Belt Tensioner to create about a 1/2"
gap, then slide the Engine away from you until the belt is loose
enough to remove.
