Washing

Shirts Cold to 60°C Max. load 1.0kg/2.0kg
Items Shirts and blouses made of cotton and mixed fibre.
Notes - Pre-treat collars and cuffs if necessary.
- Turn shirts and blouses inside out, do up buttons and turn collars
and cuffs inwards.
- Wash silk shirts and blouses in the Silks programme.
- If the Pre-ironingExtra is switched on, the maximum load capacity
is decreased to 1.0kg.
Woollens Cold to 40°C Max. load 2.0 kg
Items Machine-washable or hand-washable wool or wool blend fabric. If
the care label does not specify a temperature, wash using the cold
setting.
Notes Reduce the spin speed for fabrics that crease easily.
Denim Cold to 60°C Max. load 3.0 kg
Items Black and dark garments made from cotton, mixed fibres and
denim.
Notes - Wash denim inside-out.
- Dark textiles often contain excess dye and should be washed
separately several times before being included in a mixed load.
Wash light and coloured items separately.
- Close any zips, do up buttons etc. before washing.
Outerwear Cold to 40°C Max. load 2.5 kg

Notes - Close any zips and Velcro fasteners before washing.
- Do not use fabric softener.
- If required, outdoor clothing can be reproofed in the Proofing
