Noises
Problem Possible cause and solution
There is a knocking noise
in the wash cabinet.
A spray arm is hitting the dishware.
Interrupt the program, and rearrange the items which are
obstructing the spray arm.
There is a rattling noise in
the wash cabinet.
Dishware is moving around in the wash cabinet.
Interrupt the program and rearrange loose pieces.
A foreign object (e.g. a cherry pit) has become lodged in
the drain pump.
Remove the foreign object from the drain pump (see
“Cleaning the drain pump and non-return valve”).
There is a knocking noise
from the water pipe
This may be caused by the installation or the diameter of
the water pipe.
However, this will not affect the dishwasher function in any
way.
If in doubt, contact a plumber.
