Messages in the display
Message Possible cause and solution
is lit up in the display
and the appliance
cannot be used.
The safety lock has been activated.
Turn off the safety lock (see "Selecting settings -
Switching the safety lock on/off").
The alarm symbol
and the sensor for one
of the sections have lit
up on the display, and
an alarm is sounding.
The door alarm has been activated.
Close the appliance door. The alarm symbol
will go out and the alarm will stop.
The alarm symbol
and the sensor for one
of the sections are
flashing and an alarm is
sounding.
The temperature alarm has been activated.
The temperature in the section concerned has risen
above or fallen below the temperature set.
This could be due to
– the appliance door being opened too often, or
being left open.
– a large quantity of fresh food being placed in the
freezer at once without the automatic SuperFreeze
function being switched on.
– a lengthy power outage.
Rectify the cause of the alarm.
The alarm symbol will go out and the sensor light
for the section in question will switch to constant. The
alarm will stop.
Depending on the temperature displayed, you
should check the condition of the food in the
freezer. If it has defrosted or started to defrost,
check that it is still safe to use and, if so, use it as
soon as possible. Defrosted food may only be re-
frozen after it has been cooked.
The symbol flashes
on the display and the
indicator light on the ice
cube maker flashes
when the ice cube
maker is switched on.
The water supply line is not open.
Open the water supply line.
