D Add detergent
Take the level of soiling and water
hardness into account.
Too little detergent results in:
Laundry not getting properly clean,
and with time may become grey and
hard to the touch.
Greasy particles clinging to laundry.
Limescale deposits on the heater
elements.
Too much detergent results in:
Excessive foam which causes a low
level of agitation and poor wash,
rinse and spin results.
A burden to the environment.

This machine is set up for
connection to an external
dispensing system for dispensing
liquid agents (see "Detergent -
External dispensing system").

Pull out the detergent drawer and
add detergent to the compartments
as follows:
i = Detergent for the pre-wash
j = Detergent for the main wash
§ = Fabric conditioner, liquid starch
or proofing agent
^ Close the detergent drawer.
The detergent drawer must not be
opened during a programme. It
must remain closed whilst the
machine is in use.
The § compartment is not used
during Disinfection programmes.
Do not put anything in the §
compartment.
