Resetting the filter saturation
counter for the g
rease filters
Once cleaning is complete, the filter
saturatio
n counter must be reset.
While the fan is turned on, press the
filt
er saturation indicator  for
approx. 3 seconds until 1 is the only
indicator flashing.
The grease filter symbol goes out.
When cleaning the grease filters before
the full operati
ng time has elapsed:
Press the filter saturation indicator

for approx. 6 seconds until 1 is
the only indicator flashing.
OdorFree Charcoal Filter
If the hood is equipped for recirculation,
an OdorFr
ee Charcoal Filter must be
installed in addition to the grease filters.
This filter is designed to absorb odor-
causing agents and is mounted in the
canopy above the grease filters.
OdorFree Charcoal Filters are available
from your Mie
le dealer or from Miele.
See "Technical data" for the type and
reference number.
Installing/replacing the OdorFree
Charc
oal Filter
To install or replace the OdorFree
Cha
rcoal Filter, the grease filters must
first be removed as described above.
Remove the OdorFree Charcoal Filter
fr
om its packaging.
Press the OdorFree Charcoal Filter
int
o the frame.
Reinsert the grease filters and the
panels.
When installing the fil
ter for the first
time, activate the filter saturation
counter (see "Operation").
When to change the OdorFree
Charc
oal Filter
Always replace the OdorFree
Cha
rcoal Filter whenever it no longer
absorbs kitchen odors effectively.
Replace the filter at least once every
6 months.
The OdorFree Charcoal Filter saturation
count
er will light up to remind you to
change the charcoal filter regularly.
The OdorFree Charcoal Filter
satur
ation counter requires one-time
activation before use (see the
"Operation" chapter).
