Controls
The controls may suffer
discolouration or damage if soiling is
left on them for too long.
Remove any soiling straight away.
Observe the General notes on cleaning
earlier in this section.
Do not use stainless steel cleaning
agents on the controls.
Vapour plates and grease filter
The vapour plates and the re-useable
metal grease filter remove solid
particles from the kitchen vapours
(grease, dust, etc) preventing soiling of
the cooker hood.
The vapour plates and grease filter
should be cleaned regularly (at least
every 3-4 weeks) to avoid a build-up of
grease, but always clean immediately if
the grease filter control lamp comes on.
,
An oversaturated filter is a fire
hazard.
Switch the hob lighting off and allow
to cool down before removing the
vapour plates to avoid any risk of
burning yourself on the lighting.
To avoid damaging the filter or the
hob below, make sure you hold the
filter securely at all times when
handling it.
^ First, remove the vapour plate in the
middle. To do this, pull the vapour
plate out of its holder at the bottom
(1), then press on the top and bring it
down to remove it (2).
Do not attempt to remove the side
vapour plates by pulling down on
the lower edge. If the lighting is still
hot, there is danger of burning
yourself.
