Message Possible cause and solution

Turn the machine off and then back on again.
If the fault message appears in the display again,
^
contact Miele Technical Service.
The following
appears in the
display, even
though the drip tray
is empty:
EMPTY THE DRIP
TRAY
The drip tray is not seated correctly
^
Push the drip tray into the coffee system into it clicks into
place.
or
The metal contacts are dirty.
^ Clean and dry the contacts.
or
^ The drip tray sensor is not working correctly.
^ Turn the coffee machine off and then n again with the
main switch.
^ If the fault still appears, contact Miele Technical Service.
Noises can be
heard from the
pump and the
display shows:
FILL WATER
CONTAINER AND
PLACE IN THE
MACHINE
The coffee system is trying to draw in water, even though
the water tank is empty. Air is present in the pipework.
^
Fill the water container with cold, fresh tap water.
SYSTEM FILLING UP - START will appear in the display.
^
Press the OK button.
