Description of functions

Control panel
The water container and food probe are
located behind the control panel. The
control panel is opened and closed by
pressing the sensor control. It is fit-
ted with anti-trapping protection. If the
control panel senses resistance when
opening/closing, the process is can-
celled.
Water container
Water is pumped into the water con-
tainer and then into the steam gener-
ator.
A malfunction can occur if the aper-
ture to the water container is
blocked.
The aperture on the front of the water
container must not be blocked as
otherwise water cannot be pumped
into the steam generator.
Food probe
The food probe measures the core tem-
perature in the food, enabling the tem-
perature during the cooking process to
be monitored simply and accurately.
Temperature/core temperature
Some functions have a pre-set recom-
mended temperature. The recommen-
ded temperature can be altered within
the given range for an individual cook-
ing programme, a programme stage or
for every time that programme is used
(see “Recommended temperatures” in
the “Settings” chapter).
The core temperature can also be
altered within the given range for an in-
dividual programme or a specific pro-
gramme stage.
Moisture
The Combi modeoperating mode
and Reheat special application use a
combination of oven heat and moisture.
The moisture level can be selected
within the given range for an individual
cooking process or a specific pro-
gramme stage.
Depending on the moisture setting,
moisture or fresh air is supplied to the
oven compartment. When the moisture
setting=0%, the maximum fresh air
supply is implemented and no moisture
is supplied. When the moisture set-
ting=100%, there is no fresh air sup-
ply and the moisture content is at its
maximum.
Some food gives off moisture during
the cooking process. This moisture
from the food affects the amount of ad-
ditional moisture needed. If the required
amount of moisture is low, the steam
generator may not be activated at all.
