Problem Cause and remedy
The temperature display
lights up but the refri-
geration appliance is
not cooling.
Demo mode has been activated. This allows the refri-
geration appliance to be presented in the dealer
showroom without the cooling system being
switched on. This setting is not needed for domestic
use.
Switch off demo mode by running the appliance
self-test:
Switch the refrigeration appliance off.
Disconnect the power supply.
After 5minutes, reconnect the refrigeration appli-
ance to the mains and switch it back on.
Within the following 10seconds, touch the
sensor control for 3–5seconds until an acoustic
signal sounds.
The self-test starts.
- If 2 acoustic signals sound at the end of the self-
test and the temperature display shows the set
temperature, your refrigeration appliance is ready
for operation.
- The refrigeration appliance reverts to normal opera-
tion.
- If 5acoustic signals sound at the end of the self-
test and the temperature display LEDs light up with
varying brightness levels, a fault has occurred.
Contact the Miele Customer Service Department.
The LEDs inform the Customer Service Department
about the fault in question.
The compressor is
switching on more fre-
quently and for longer
periods of time. The
temperature in the refri-
geration appliance is
too low.
The ventilation gaps have been covered or become
too dusty.
Do not block the ventilation gaps.
Dust the ventilation gaps regularly.
The appliance doors have been opened too fre-
quently, or a large amount of fresh food has been put
in all at once for storage or freezing.
Only open the appliance doors when necessary
and for as short a time as possible.
