Cleaning the oven
compartment with Self
clean
(Clean)
Instead of cleaning the oven manually
you can use the Self clean (Clean)
operating mode.
During the Self Clean function, the oven
compartment reaches temperatures in
excess of 750°F (400°C). Any grime that
has accumulated will be broken down
and burnt to ash as a result of the high
temperatures.
There are 3Self Clean settings
available, each with a different duration:
- Level1 for light soiling
- Level2 for heavier soiling
- Level3 for very heavy soiling
The oven door is automatically locked
when the Self Clean process starts. It
cannot be opened until after the
program has finished.
The timer can be used to delay the start
time of the Self Clean program.
At the end of the Self Clean program,
any residues such as ash from the
cleaning process, which are formed
depending on the oven compartment’s
degree of soiling, can be easily wiped
away.
All Gas Range
Risk of injury caused by hot vapors.
Hot vapors are emitted above the
island trim during Self Clean as well
as when cooking food in the oven.
You could burn yourself on the hot
vapors.
Do not reach above the island trim
and keep others away from it when
you are using the oven.
All Gas Range
Hot vapors are emitted above the
island trim during Self Clean as well
as when cooking food in the oven.
The emission of vapors can soil and
discolor surfaces above the island
trim.
Take precautions to protect sensitive
surfaces such as marble, granite,
and tiles against soiling and
discoloration (surfaces of this nature
can be difficult or even impossible to
clean).
