PREPARATIONS The Cascade Fountain is designed to add versatility and style to your backyard and create a space to enjoy for years to come. This fountain should be built on a solid, level surface. Check local building codes and regulations before choosing the location and beginning this project.

Level 5 (16) Belgian Large Wall Blocks Pond Liner (1) 7’ x 10’ Pond Liner Cut Belgian Large Wall Block to 7”, then, using a chisel or a circular saw fitted with a masonry blade, cut a 1½” x 1½”groove from the corner for the Pond Tubing to run through. The tubing will be run after the Pond Pump has been installed. Wait for glue to fully dry before proceeding to the next steps. Refer to the label on your construction adhesive for dry times.
Pond Pump (1) Pond Pump Pond Liner (continued) Place the pump in the corner of the basin near the chiseled block and attach the pre screen filter to the pump. Attach the 1¼” tubing to the pond pump. The tubing will need to extend to the spillway on level 8. For now run the tubing and the pump power cord through the chiseled groove into the back of the fountain. Partially fill the basin with water, allowing for the pond liner to stretch and conform to the interior of the basin.

Do not glue blocks to the pond liner in case the liner ever has to be replaced.
Level 8 Level 9 (10) Belgian Large Wall Block (1) Spillway (10) Belgian Wall Block Use a chisel or a circular saw fitted with a masonry blade to cut a 1” x 1” groove out of the corner of a block to allow power cords to exit the fountain. (Cut block closest to outlet) Block cut to 7”L Blocks cut to 3½”L Attach the 1¼” tubing to the spillway from the pond pump. Take the power cords from both the spillway and pond pump and place them in the groove of the notched block.

To create the 13” x 8” flagstone inlays first preassemble the paver shown above, mark the lines with chalk and cut the blocks to create the rectangular inlays.

Use and Maintenance With proper use and maintenance you can enjoy this new addition to your landscape for years to come. FOUNTAIN USE: • Refer to spillway and pump’s instructions manuals for use and cleaning tips • Make sure that all electrical outlets and connections for the pump and spillway are safely installed in away from standing water FOUNTAIN MAINTENANCE: • Make sure water remains clear of all debris and change filters according to the package directions.
