Melody-Tracker-Mode
In this mode, a 2nd vocals is added to your vocals as soon as you activate the
HARMONIZER button (illuminates in blue). The prerequisite for this is that
your MIDI les contain a melody-track (many MIDI le producers use MIDI
channel 1 for this, in © M-Live MIDI les it is MIDI channel 4).
You can do the setting for Melody-Tracker MIDI channel in the menu MIDI
SETTINGS -> MELODY TRACK. If your MIDI les do not have melody vocals,
you can also connect a keyboard to the MIDI IN of MP11 and play the melody
vocals on your own. You can do the necessary settings as already described
above. You have conguration options also for the Melody-Tracker mode.
Begin by pressing the CONTROL button to open the HARMONIZER SETTINGS
window:
• Mode
For setting the Melody-Tracker mode
(additionally available value = Harmonizer).
• Efx
For setting the reverb-ratio for the Melody-Tracker. The percentage value
here indicates the eect-ratio of the Melody-Tracker vocals versus the
eect-ratio of the microphone signal:
50% = half the level, 100% = same level, 200% = double the level.
The eect-ratio is also connected with what you have set for the MP11
reverb controller.
• Octave
For setting the Melody-Tracker‘s octaving (available values: -2 to 2 octaves).
• Dry/Wet
For setting the balance between the original-signal (Dry) and the Melody-
Tracker signal (Wet). Trying out dierent Dry/Wet values and applying bits
of your skills, you can pull o great eects, for example:
double the voice, add a slight chorus-eect, set a vocoder-eect (like „Cher
does in her songs), etc
