The creating of a new routing is always for the currently active patch.
Do not forget to save the changes of the patch list.
8.4.2 Using the MIDI Matrix
It is very common to playback a MIDI song and to play live at the same time. The MULTISTATION allows to assign
the necessary routing. In the following example we will assume that you have a master keyboard (without an internal
tone generator). For one song, you want to use sound module A, but for another song sound module B. Proceed the
following way:
1 Connect the master keyboard to one of the MULTISTATIONs MIDI inputs . In this
example we will use input 1.
2 Connect both sound modules A and B to the MIDI outputs of the MULTISTATION. In
this example we are using outputs 2 and 3.
3 Activate the patch that has the song for the first routing.
4 Press [MIDI] on the operation panel of the remote controller. It will open the following
routing screen (this example is of the M8):
5 In order to make a routing, simply click on both MIDI connectors that you want to link
with each other. You should always select first the connector from which the routing is
initiated. In this case, we want the master keyboard on input 1 to send data to module A on
output 2. Therefore, touch first the connector In1 and then Out2. Immediately the
connection is made and the routing is programmed. You will see the result on the next
figure:
