SAFETYCONSIDERATIONS

Installationandservicingofairconditioningequipmentcanbehazardousduetosystempressureand

electriccomponents.Onlytrainedandqualifiedservicepersonnelshouldinstall,repairorserviceair

conditioningequipment.

Allotheroperationsshouldbeperformedbytrainedservicepersonnel.Whenworkingonairconditio-

ningequipment,observeprecautionsintheliterature,tagsandlabelsattachedtotheunitandother

safetyprecautionsthatmayapply.Followallsafetycodes.Wearglassesandworkgloves.Usequen-

chingclothforbrazingandunbrazingoperations.Therearefireextinguishersavailableforallbrazing

operations.

WARNING

Thismanualdescribestheinstallationofspecifiedindoorandoutdoorunits.Donotinstallthemconn-

ectedwithanyotherindoororoutdoorunit.Mismatchingofunitsandincompatibilitybetweencontrol

devicesinthetwounitscouldleadtodamageofbothunits.

Beforeperformingserviceormaintenanceoperationsonsystem,turnoffmainpowerswitchoftheunit.

Electricalshockcouldcausepersonalinjury.

Thisunitshallbeinstalledinaccordancewithnationalwiringregulations.

Ifthesupplycordisdamaged,itmustbereplacedbythemanufactureroritsserviceagentorsimilarly

qualifiedpersoninordertoavoidahazard.

Themeansfordisconnectionfromthesupplyhavingacontactseparationofatleast3mminallpoles.

CAUTION

1.Wiretheoutdoorunit,thenwiretheindoorunit.Youarenotallowtoconnecttheairconditionerwith

thepowersourceuntilwiringandpipingtheairconditionerisdone.

2.Forinstallationoftheindoorunit,outdoorunit,andconnectionpipinginbetween,followtheinstru-

ctionsgiveninthismanualasstrictlyaspossible.

3.Installationinthefollowingplacesmaycausetrouble.Ifitisunavoidableusinginsuchplaces,

pleaseconsultwiththedealer.

(2)Asalineplacesuchascoast.

(3)Hot-springresort.

(4)Aplacefullofsulfidegas.

(5)Aplacewheretherearehighfrequencymachinessuchaswirelessinstallation,weldingmachine,

medicalfacilities.
