The Misc Tab Section

The Miscellaneous section is used for Launch Items that

require additional setup to run, such as setting environment

variables or modifying an INI file. You can check the Config-

ure for WebLaunch option if you want the Launch Item to be

available to CDBrowser and WebLaunch (see Chapter Six).

You can also include the name of a person to contact in case

there is a problem with the CD-ROM — it could be missing

from the CD-ROM drive, for example.

1. Click the drop-down box next to the File Type field. Se-

lect Windows Executable for this example.

2. The Computer Select CD does not require MSCDEX or

DPCDEX (our version of MSCDEX) to run, so leave this

box blank. If this box is checked and DPCDEX is not run-

ning, the user will get an error.

3. Leave the Only show item to managers box blank. If you

were to check this box, only users who are DiscView man-

agers could see this Launch Item. This feature is useful

for hiding Setup items from users.

4. Type the name of a person to contact in case of a problem,

if desired. You might want to include an extension num-

ber with the name.

5. The Computer Select CD requires some additional setup,

so click the Advanced Options button. The Advanced

Options dialog appears.
