To learn more about getting around Windows Pro 8.1, check out these resources:

 Windows Help: Swipe up from the center of the Start screen, and then type Help

and Support.

Lock screen and signing in

With a Microsoft account, personal settings like your lock screen and Start screen can follow you to other

devices. Your favorite websites, browser history, and pinned sites can move with you, as well.

If you don’t use Surface for a few minutes, the screen turns off and locks. When this happens, press a key (or

press and release the Power button), then swipe up on the touchscreen.

Next, sign in to your account by typing your password.

Now, let’s set up your email and other accounts.
