3. To replace the back cover, align the cover tabs with the slots in the device, and push down the bottom and side tabs until the cover is securely in place. Switch Your Device On or Off Do not remove the memory card in the middle of an operation when the card is being accessed. Removing the card in the middle of an operation may damage the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the card may be corrupted.
Antenna Your device may have internal and external antennas. As with any radio transmitting device, avoid touching the antenna area unnecessarily while the antenna is transmitting or receiving. Contact with such an antenna affects the communication quality and may cause the device to operate at a higher power than otherwise needed and may reduce the battery life. Message Folders Inbox The device saves received messages in the Inbox folder. When you receive an incoming message, an alert is displayed. To immediately view the new picture, video or text message (if TXT Auto View is off), select View Now. If you select View Later, the new message notification icon is displayed. Voicemail Play Again — Play the sound again (for picture messages with sound attached). Forward — Forward the message to another recipient. Add Pauses Calls to automated systems often require a password or account number. Instead of manually entering numbers each time, store the numbers to your contacts along with special characters called pauses. You may add pauses after entering a number in the idle screen. 1. Phone Settings Set Shortcuts You can assign applications to the UP, LEFT or DOWN Directional keys. These can be opened by pressing the corresponding keys on the idle screen. The RIGHT Directional key is used to access My Shortcuts. The default shortcuts are listed as follow: • To access Mobile Web, press the Directional key up. • To open Calendar, press the Directional key down. • To open My Verizon, press the Directional key left. • To open My Shortcuts, press the Directional key right.
Prompts — Select Mode and then Prompts for the device to prompt you for information, Readout to prompt you and read the menu items as you navigate, or Tones Only to prompt you with beeps only. The audio playback setting lets you control if audio is played out from the speakerphone or earpiece. Select Audio playback and then Automatic to set the audio playback mode determined by phone settings. Driving Mode — Set your phone to read out new notifications or not.
