4. Write text
When writing a message, you can enter letters, numbers, and special characters
by selecting them from the character bar shown at the bottom of the display.
Scroll to the desired character and select it.
To speed up the selection, you can use character prediction, in which the most
commonly used characters are placed at the beginning of the character list. The
characters suggested by character prediction depend on the previously selected
characters. If you do not use character prediction, the characters are shown in
alphabetical order.
The characters available depend on the language selected in the Phone language
menu. See "Phone settings," p. 39.
In addition to the characters, you may be able to use the character bar for the
following:
• To set the character prediction on, select . To set the prediction off, select
.
When the character prediction is active, is shown at the top of the display
and the predicted characters are shown in blue.
• To move the cursor in the written text or number select , and rotate the
spinner. To continue writing, select Continue.
• To enter a space, select the space in the character bar.
• To enter upper case, select .
• To enter lower case letters, select .
• To enter accented characters, select .
• To enter numbers, select .
• To enter special characters, select .
For some of these options, you can also select Options and the desired option.
If necessary, to accept a written text or number, select Options > Accept.
