Note that sending data with HSCSD may drain the battery faster than normal voice or data calls, as the device may send data
more frequently to the network.
GSM data calls
A GSM data call enables data transmission rates of up to 14.4 kb/s. For availability and subscription to data services, contact
your network operator or service provider.
Connection manager
In Conn. manager, you can view details on active network connections, and end unused connections.
Go to Desk → Tools → Conn. manager.
Note: The actual time invoiced for calls by your service provider may vary, depending on network features,
rounding off for billing, and so forth.
To view detailed information about network connections, select the connection from the list, and press Details. The type of
information shown depends on the network connection type.
To end a network connection, select the connection from the list, and press Disconnect.
To end all active network connections simultaneously, press Menu, and select Tools → Disconnect all.
To view the amount of data sent and received with GPRS, press Menu, and select Counters → GPRS counter.
To view information about the IP address, press Menu, and select Tools → IP address. The IP address information is shown
only when the network connection has been established, not while it is being activated.
