13 Manage phone security
Your phone is equipped with different security features that allow you to
do the following:
• avoid making accidental calls,
• prevent unauthorized use of your phone, and
• restrict outgoing or incoming calls.
• LOCK THE KEYPAD (KEYGUARD)
The keypad lock (Keyguard) disables your keypad
to prevent accidental key presses (for example,
when your phone is in your pocket or purse).
• To lock the keys, press Menu, then .
• To unlock the keys, press Unlock, then
.
If the phone rings with Keyguard on, press
SEND to answer the call.
Important:You can still dial emergency numbers, such as 911,
while keyguard is activated.
Note: Keyguard does not prevent unauthorized use of your phone.
Connecting your phone to a car kit automatically disables
Keyguard.
