6QFMM and enter the word(s) using standard text input (See
“Standard text input” on page 25).

Insert numbers
1 To add a number to the message, press and hold until

Insert symbols
1 Press and hold until the symbol screen appears.

Press 2QUJPOT and scroll to ,NSERTSYMBOL .
2 Select the desired symbol and press

Writing compound words
1 Write the first part of the word and press to accept it.
2 Write the last part of the compound word and press to enter
the word in memory.
Saving messages in the Outbox
When writing a text message, it’s a good idea to save it in the Outbox.
Then if there is a message delivery problem, you can easily resend the
message.
1 While writing the message, press
2QUJPOT .
2 Scroll to
6AVE , then press 2. .
Sending the text message
1 Press 0FOV 1 3. :RITEMESSAGES appears briefly, then the
message screen appears.
2 Enter a message of up to 160 characters. (The number of available
