Before You Begin
2. Before You Begin
Before you begin using your phone, there are several tasks that you need
to perform. This section tells you how to complete these tasks.
• Preparing Your Phone for Use
To prepare your phone, you need to perform several steps, which are
described in the following subsections:
•“Installing the SIM Card” (see below).
•“Installing the Battery” on page 10
•“Charging the Battery” on page 10
Additionally, to find out how to remove a battery, refer to “Removing the
battery” on page 11.
Installing the SIM Card
1 Switch off the phone.
2 With the back of the phone facing
you, press the back cover release
button and slide the back cover off.
3 Align the SIM card:
- beveled corner on the left
- gold contact area downward.
4 Insert the SIM card.
