4 Set up your phone
• SET UP YOUR HEADSET
Depending on your service provider, your
phone may come with a headset that you
can use while talking. The headset
provides convenient handsfree use of the
phone.
Connect the headset
When you use the headset,
1 Plug the headset jack into the bottom of your phone.
2 Put the round ear plug into one ear.
Use the headset
With the headset connected, you can make, answer and end calls as usual.
Use the keypad to press (talk) or (end) or to enter numbers
to make a call.
When you use the headset, the microphone for the headset hangs at the
side of your head. Although the microphone may seem far from your
mouth, you can speak at a normal volume.
Adjust the volume
You can change the volume level on your phone, making
incoming voice sounds louder or softer. The volume keys
on your phone are located on the side of the phone. Press
the top of the key to increase volume or the bottom of
the key to decrease volume. A bar chart appears on the
phone’s screen, showing the current volume level.
