Take pictures
About the camera

Why carry a separate camera if your phone has all you need for capturing memories?
With your phone camera, you can easily take pictures or record videos.
The back camera on your phone is an 8–megapixel autofocus camera. The wide-angle
Carl Zeiss™ lens lets you capture more, by broadening the angle of view, for example,
when taking a group picture in a confined space.
You can later use your phone to view or edit the pictures and view the videos, share
them on the internet, or send them to compatible devices.
Tip: To access the camera quickly, hold your phone upright, and drag your finger from
below the bottom of the screen onto the screen. Hold your finger in place, until the quick
launch bar is displayed.
Take a picture

Select and hold . The focus is locked when a blue rectangle is displayed. To take the
picture, lift your finger. Do not move the phone before the picture is saved and the final
picture displayed.
Zoom in or out
Use the volume keys.
Focus on a specific object or area
Tap the object or area on the screen.
Touch focus is always activated. However, it is not available in landscape or sports scene
modes.
When taking a picture, you can recompose it without losing the focus point.
Recompose a picture while taking it
1 To lock the focus, select and hold
. The focus is locked when a blue rectangle is
displayed.
2 Recompose the picture.
3 To take the picture, lift your finger.
