(Supplement) – Cell phone package for Passat Sedan, Model year 2006
10 Cell phone package
WARNING
Improper use of the cell phone causes driver distraction and accidents as well as serious personal
injury.
Always devote your full attention to the traffic around you! Use the telephone only if traffic
and other conditions permit.
Always set volume levels so that you can clearly hear horns, sirens and other warning sounds
outside the vehicle.
In areas with no or inadequate network reception, and under certain conditions in tunnels,
garages and underpasses, it may not be possible to make a telephone call – even in an emergency!
Tips
A call made with the i or > buttons on the cradle has higher priority than a normal call. If the i
or > button is pressed during a normal call, the call is terminated and an information or emergency
call is made.
If the vehicle emergency button > is pressed during an active information call, the information call
is terminated and the emergency call is made and vice versa.
A cell phone network must be available to make the information and emergency calls. It is possible
that service is not available in some areas or in some countries.
In countries for which no “information call” number is available, the emergency call is made when the
i button is pressed.
Applies to vehicles: with cell phone package
