facturer for the correct procedure.
WARNING
Improper use of the cell phone causes driver distraction and accidents as well as serious personal
injury.
Always devote your full attention to the traffic around you! Use the telephone only if traffic
and other conditions permit.
Always set volume levels so that you can clearly hear horns, sirens and other warning sounds
ouside the vehicle.
Using a cell phone inside the vehicle without having a separate outside antenna can be danger-
ous to your health and that of your passengers because the electromagnetic radiation energy that
cell phones emit may be above established limits.
Never leave a cell phone on the seat, instrument panel or in other places where it can be
thrown around the inside of the vehicle during a sudden braking maneuver, a crash or aother
accident and injure vehicle occupants. Always place the cell phone securely in a cradle.
Always make sure that the cell phone is properly secured in the cradle and that the cradle is
securely locked onto the base plate. In an accident, a cell phone that is not properly secured can
be thrown from the cradle and cause injury.
In areas with no or inadequate network reception, and under certain conditions such as in
tunnels, garages and underpasses, it may not be possible to make a telephone call – even in an
emergency!
Tips
When making calls, there may be interference with reception which affects performance in no-
reception areas.
