WARNING
Improper use of the cell phone causes driver distraction and accidents as well as serious personal
injury.
•
••
• Always devote your full attention to the traffic around you! Use the telephone only if traffic
and other conditions permit.
•
••
• Always set volume levels so that you can clearly hear horns, sirens and other warning sounds
ouside the vehicle.
•
••
• Using a cell phone inside the vehicle without having a separate outside antenna can be danger-
ous to your health and that of your passengers because the electromagnetic radiation energy that
cell phones emit may be above established limits.
•
••
• Never leave a cell phone on the seat, instrument panel or in other places where it can be
thrown around the inside of the vehicle during a sudden braking maneuver, a crash or aother
accident and injure vehicle occupants. Always place the cell phone securely in a cradle.
•
••
• Always make sure that the cell phone is properly secured in the cradle and that the cradle is
securely locked onto the base plate. In an accident, a cell phone that is not properly secured can
be thrown from the cradle and cause injury.
•
••
• In areas with no or inadequate network reception, and under certain conditions such as in
tunnels, garages and underpasses, it may not be possible to make a telephone call – even in an
emergency!
Tips
• When making calls, there may be interference with reception which affects performance in no-
reception areas.
