About your portable charger Put the portable charger in your pocket, and take it anywhere you want. With the Microsoft Portable Power (DC-21), you can charge the battery of your phone or a compatible device when you don't have access to a regular power source. Charge your portable charger The built-in battery has been partially charged at the factory, but you may need to recharge it before you can use your portable charger. Charge your portable charger in the correct temperature: 0°C – +45°C. If the temperature is outside this range, all the indicator lights blink fast, and your portable charger stops charging. 1. Plug a compatible USB charger (sold separately) into a wall outlet, or connect the USB end of the cable CA-189CD to a computer. 2.
Charge your phone with the portable charger Phone battery running out, and no wall outlet or charger nearby? Use the portable charger to charge your phone or other compatible device on the go. Use your portable charger to charge your phone in the correct temperature: -15°C – +55°C. If the temperature is outside this range, all the indicator lights blink fast, and your portable charger stops charging. 1. Connect the USB end of the charging cable to the USB connector of your portable charger. 2.
Charge your phone and portable charger together Both your phone and portable charger battery low? Find a wall outlet or a computer to charge them together. 1. Connect your phone to the portable charger with the cable CA-189CD. 2. Connect the portable charger to a computer, or to a USB compatible charger plugged into a wall outlet. Your phone charges first, if your portable charger has enough power. If not, your portable charger charges first, until its power is sufficient.
Product and safety info Wet and dusty conditions • • • If the device has been exposed to water, wipe it off with a dry cloth. If it has been exposed to any other liquid, immediately splash some clean fresh water onto the device. Carefully wipe the device dry. Do not charge the device or connect anything if the connectors are dusty, wet, or damp. If the connectors are dusty, splash clean freshwater onto the connectors. Carefully wipe the device and connector area dry, and let the connectors dry.
Use the battery and charger for their intended purposes only. Improper use, or use of unapproved or incompatible batteries or chargers may present a risk of fire, explosion, or other hazard, and may invalidate any approval or warranty. If you believe the battery or charger is damaged, take it to a service centre before continuing to use it. Never use a damaged battery or charger. Only use the charger indoors. Do not charge your device during a lightning storm.
