How to lock and unlock the keypad
Locking the keypad protects against accidental key presses. No password is required to unlock the keypad. To lock and unlock the keypad, follow these
steps:
Manual keypad lock
To lock the keypad, pull down the Lock key on the right side of the phone.1.
To unlock the keypad, pull down the Lock key again.2.
Automatic keypad lock
From the Home screen, press the Menu key.1.
Tap Settings.2.
Double-tap Phone.3.
Double-tap Phone mgmt.4.
Tap auto. keyguard.5.
Tap Keypad autolock period.6.
Tap User defined.7.
Tap t he Lock keypad after (minutes: seconds) field.8.
Enter the duration.9.
Tap t he Checkmark icon.10.

How to turn on or turn off the phone lock
Phone lock causes the phone to lock when you turn it off. When you turn the phone back on, you must enter a password. To turn on or turn off the
phone lock, follow these steps:

From the Home screen, press the Menu key.1.

Double-tap Phone mgmt.4.
Double-tap Security.5.
Tap Phone and SIM card.6.
Double-tap Phone autolock period.7.
Tap User defined.8.
Tap t he Lock after (minutes) field.9.
Enter the duration.10.
Tap t he Checkmark icon.11.
Tap OK.12.
Enter the lock code. The default is 12345.13.

To un lo ck
From the Home screen, press the Menu key.1.
Tap Settings.2.
Double-tap Phone.3.
Double-tap Phone mgmt.4.
Double-tap Security.5.
Tap Phone and SIM card.6.
Double-tap Phone autolock period.7.
Tap None.8.
Tap OK.9.
Enter the lock code. The default is 12345.10.
