Certification information (SAR)
This mobile device meets guidelin
es for exposure to radio waves.
Your mobile device is a radio transmitter a
nd receiver. It is designed not to exceed th
e
limits for exposure to radio waves reco
mmended by international guidelines. T
hese
guidelines were developed by the in
dependent scientific organization ICNIRP
and include
safety margins designed to assure the
protecti
on of all persons, regardless of age and
health.
The exposure guidelines for mobile
devices employ a unit of measurement known as
the
Specific Absorption Rate or SAR. The SAR l
imit stated in the ICNIRP guidelines is 2.0 w
atts/
kilogram (W/kg) averaged over 10 gra
ms of tissue. Tests for SAR are conducte
d using
standard operating positions with the devi
ce transmitting at its highest certified p
ower
level in all tested frequency bands. The
actu
al SAR level of an operating device can be
below the maximum value because the de
vice is designed to use only the power re
quired
to reach the network. That amount changes d
epending on a number of factors suc
h as
how close you are to a network base sta
tion.
The highest SAR value under the ICNIRP g
uidelines for use of the device at the ear is
0.61
Use of device accessories may result in
different SAR values. SAR values may vary
depending on national reporting a
nd testing requirements and the network band
.
Additional SAR information may be pr
ovided under product information
