To review, the specifications for this example are:
• Voltage, V

, at the junction must be 3.75±0.1 V.
• Thevenin equivalent resistance, R

, must be 100±1 Ω.
One way to handle the optimization problem is to treat both
specifications as a goal.
For each goal, you must define:
• its name
• its target value and range
• the analysis to use for simulation
• the circuit file containing the netlist description
• the way to measure performance
For this example, these are already defined.
