About the MS-4X Imager
The key features of the MS-4X Imager are:
• Powerful X-Mode
™ algorithm for Direct Part Mark decoding
• USB (including a USB + I/O option), RS-232, and RS-422/485 connectivity
• Support for both linear and 2D symbologies
• High-output LED illumination
• EZ Button for setup and testing
• A blue target pattern that identifies the center point of the field of view
• A green flash (visible from all angles) to signal a successful read
• Compact size for easy integration into a wide variety of applications
MS-4X Communications
There are three ways to configure and test the MS-4X:

Microscan’s Windows-based ESP (Easy Setup Program), which offers point-and-click ease

f use and visual responses to user adjustments.
• Serial commands, such as <K100,1>, that can be sent from ESP’s Terminal or anothe
r
te
rminal program.
•The EZ Button at the back of the imager.
