3.8 Route Configuration
3.8.1 Static Routing:
The static routing function determines the path that router follows over your
network before and after it passes through SP916GL. You can use static routing
to allow different IP domain users to access the Internet through this device.
After you enter the parameter, remember to click “Add” button.
3.8.2 Dynamic Routing:
The dynamic routing feature of the router can be used to allow the router to
automatically adjust to physical changes in the network's layout. The router
uses the dynamic RIP protocol. It determines the route that the network packets
take based on the fewest number of hops between the source and the
destination. The RIP protocol regularly broadcasts routing information to other
routers on the network.
