8.1.1 Inserting a LonWorks Network in TAC XBuilder
The TAC Xenta 913 object in XBuilder has a LON object which is used
when the physical network is inserted.
The Vista server must be running before it is possible to insert the net-
work.
To insert a LonWorks network in TAC XBuilder
1 Start Vista Server with the network you want to insert.
2 In XBuilder, in the network pane, right-click the LON object to
which you want to insert a network. In the example, IP Backbone-
TAC_Xenta_913-LON.
3 Click Insert Network from TAC Vista.
The Log in to TAC Vista Server dialog box appears.
4 In the Username box type a user name. In the example, “system”.
Notes
•Use Insert Network from TAC Vista to insert both LNS net-
works and classic networks from TAC Vista.
The command Insert Network from LNS is used to insert an
LNS network that only uses SNVT communication and that is
created without using TAC Vista.
