Product Guide 2010
WISP Backbone and CPE
SP9012N is a cost effective outdoor wireless CPE which is best
suitable for both indoor and outdoor use due to its weatherproof
enclosure design. SP9012N is equipped with outstanding
administration capability which allows users to remotely monitor
and control the device and record its status. Customers can use
SP9012N to connect to other SP9012N devices from one place to
another. At the same time, those SP9012N devices can still work as
access points to accept access point clients (e.g, SP907GP)
connection. Therefore, the customers can easily make wireless
connections from different locations by SP9012N. SP9012N has
been able to achieve three times better throughput than
competitors' wireless products in field test. If the customer needs to
increase the wireless connectivity, SP9012N can collocate with
Micronet SP907GP to transmit its digital data across floors with
best of sensitivity. In addition, although SP9012N has a built-in 8
dBi internal antenna, to extend the wireless distance coverage, the
customer can also use SP9012N with an external antenna (e.g., 12
dBi Omni-directional antenna) to reach a longer distance coverage
as well. For cost sensitive solutions, SP9012 can be used to
replace SP9012N, since it is the best choice among all outdoor
wireless CPEs when constructing a 2.4 GHz outdoor wireless
environment.
SP9015 is a 5.8GHz frequency band and weather proof outdoor
wireless device with high power outage and excellent radio
sensitivity. The customer can use SP9015 to work as an outdoor
wireless bridge, access point, gateway or even the access client
through its simple and friendly web configuration within seconds. If
used with other Micronet outdoor wireless products, for example
SP915A, they can be brought together as the solution for the
wireless back haul of WISP. If one SP9015 is configured with
another SP9015 as a pair, both SP9015 devices can be set into
WDS (Wireless Distribution System) mode to become point-to-
point link. Thus, the wireless system integrators can build a cost
effective outdoor wireless solution with nothing else but a few
SP9015 devices.
