KVM Switch
KVM Switch
Product specification is subject to change without prior notice.
KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) solutions are the key to making
management for server farm more efficient and economical. KVM
switches allow servers/PCs at multiple floors to be managed in a
centralized location. Only a single set of equipment (monitor, mouse &
keyboard) is needed to operate hundreds of servers located in the
server farm. KVM over IP is the next innovative step by the industry to
further extend the mobility and flexibility of server access. From the
diagram to the right, the MIS personnel can remotely access the
KVM/Server via local network or over the Internet. Not being restricted
by time and space, the administrators can assert tighter control over the
enterprise network system. Remote access over the Internet will
become a key aspect for successful deployment of the solution.
SP1200A KVM over IP will
authenticate each connected client
via Certified Authority (CA) and only
the certified PC can be connected.
By using HTTPS encryption
protection, enterprise can remain
rest assure that all data transmitted
are not intercepted.
SP1200A KVM over IP allows servers
and PCs to become remotely
accessible over LAN or Internet via
web browser. In this case, IT
personnel would become more mobile
and flexible.
SP1200A KVM over IP is compatible
with other vendor's rack-mount KVM
switch with PS/2 local console port,
allowing users with existing KVM
switch to easily adopt SP1200A KVM
over IP without any compatibility
issues across vendors.
SP1200A KVM over IP can work in conjunction with 8/16-Port KVM to allow multiple
servers' screen images to be transmitted over the Internet. Besides, Micronet 8/16-
port KVM and SP1200A KVM over IP can Support SUN Micros Servers other than
PC Servers.
