4.2.4 Wireless Bridge
Wireless Distribution System is used to extend the existing wireless signal coverage.
Wireless bridge includes 2 modes:
1. Access point (Once it is selected, the AP function will be enabled while wireless bridge
function will be reserved. And wireless base station will establish bridge with the AP in the
meantime. Namely, you can establish communication with wireless base station through a
wireless network adapter) as shown in the figure below:
In the above figure, 2 SP3367NLs are used to enlarge wireless signal coverage.
SP3367NL-2 is configured as a wireless access point to establish a wireless bridge with
SP3367NL-1. In the meantime, the AP function reserved in SP3367NL-2 enables PC3 and
PC4 to communicate with SP3367NL-2 and access Internet through wireless network
adapters.
2. Wireless bridge (Here in this mode, wireless is used as pure bridge only with no more
AP function to connect and communicate with remote devices. Namely, your PC can only
be connected to the device via wired media instead of communicating with the device
through wireless network adapter.) see the figure below:
