Battery-powered Microphone Amplifier CMBI
In ste ad of a lar ge XLR con nec tor, the CMBI has a
flush- mounted 5-pin mi ni a ture con nec tor at the out put
which also allows for external powering. For normal
connection of the CMBI to a DAT recor der, etc., a 5 m
ca ble with a 3.5 mm mini ste reo plug is in clu d ed (see
Fig. 1 below).

This ca ble can be ex ten ded with a stan dard 3.5 mm
stereo jack to stereo plug cable, or with a mi ni a ture-
connector ex ten sion ca ble such as SCHOEPS KS 5 I
(Fig. 2).
For ope ra tion with pock et trans mit ters we ha ve re a dy-
ma de ca bles with spe ci al con nec tors on re quest (Fig. 3).
For ste reo re cor dings the re is a Y-sha ped ca ble
(KIY 250/0 I) which connects two CMBI to a compact
junction box by means of two pieces of cable, each
250 mm in length. The short ca ble lea ding out of this
box has a mi ni a ture connector and can be ex ten ded
either with the K 5 ISK ca ble (Fig. 4) or with the exten-
sion cable KS 5 I.
