11.4.3 Restore Archival Data
Data can be reloaded to the Micro-PWC hard drive from an archival tape. Restored Historical data is filed
in the Archival Database. Once the data is in the Archival Database, it is accessible to Trending as
described in Section 6 of this manual.
To restore historical data to the Micro-PWC’s hard drive from a tape, from the System Window select Menu
> Utilities > Restore Database > Archival. The window shown in Figure 11-21 will open.
This Archival Database Restore window contains a From entry box containing the default start time for the
restoration, 0 (zero). This can be changed to a more recent time to do a partial restoration, instead of
restoring all the data on the tape. The next item in the window is a To entry box with the current date and
time filled in; this can also be changed.
Below the To entry box is a Node button labelled with the name of the local node. To restore the data to the
Archival Database of another node, click Node. A window titled Archive Nodes will open, listing the avail-
able archival nodes on the system. To select one of the listed nodes, click the name of the node, then click
OK in the window. To close the window without changing the selected node, click Cancel in the Archive
Nodes window.
To close the Archival Database Restore window without initiating a restoration operation, click Cancel. To
continue with the restore operation, click OK. The Restore Operation window (Figure 11-22) will be dis-
played.
11.4.3.1 Restore Operation Window

(Figure 11-18), and they operate in the same manner. The Device Type text box initially lists the default
backup device for the Micro-PWC; this can be changed by clicking on the D
OWN ARROW option button which
