4.3. Use the steam cleaner correctly
• Do not use the steam cleaner on floors without a cleaning
cloth. Do not use the carpet glider on smooth floors. The sur-
faces could get damaged.
• Do not operate the steam cleaner without any water in the
water tank.
• Do not fill the water tank with hot water or other liquids, such
as aromatic, alcohol-based cleaners. The appliance could be
damaged.
• Keep the openings free of lint, hairs and other possible con-
tamination to ensure unimpeded steam emission.
• The power and heat of the steam can have a negative effect
on some materials. Therefore check whether the surface is
suitable for steam cleaning by carrying out a test on a hidden
patch.
• Do not use the appliance on leather, wax-polished furniture
or floors, unsealed hardwood or parquet floors, synthetic fab-
rics, velvet or other steam-sensitive materials.
4.4. Faults
CAUTION!
Live components. There is a risk of electric shock.
Therefore, please follow the instructions below:
• Avoid damaging the appliance or the power cable.
• Always check the power cable and the appliance for damage
before each use.
• Never try to open and/or repair an appliance component
yourself.
• Ensure that a defective appliance is repaired immediately by
a specialist workshop. If the mains cable for this appliance
is damaged then it must be replaced by the Medion Service
Centre or a similarly qualified person.
